Fife

I live in Fife, so excuse me if I’m a bit biased. Definitely worth visiting.

A possible tour I would suggest would be: Go from Edinburgh, pull off and visit Deep Sea World. Go to Dunfermline and visit the Abbey, the Abbots House and Andrew Carnegie’s Birthplace. Leave Dunfermline and travel the coast road, going through places such as Burntisland, Aberdour, Kirkcaldy, St Monans, Pittenweem, etc. Finish up at St. Andrews and maybe do a spell on the putting course at the Old Course (very good value - club and ball provided). Nip into Dundee and return to Edinburgh via Perth. This should take about 3-4 days to do properly.

Deep Sea World (North Queensferry) - quite interesting and reasonable value. Very good if the weather isn’t.

Sea Life Centre (St Andrews) - also very good. And you can visit the nearby Golf museum.
