Places I’ve liked in Stirling:

Stirling Castle - not as big as Edinburgh, but just as nice, with less visitors to get in the way of your photos. Great view of the hills and surrounding countryside from the battlements. Resturant pretty good too, although a bit on the pricey side.

Stirling Jail - very close to the Castle (why not do both!). A little bit expensive for what it offers, but pretty enjoyable. Guided tours with actors dressed in costume playing out scenes from the past.

Wallace Monument - good view, but built away from the town, (take your car or public transport). Not for people with a fear of heights!
